PB Wishlist Marketplace Guidelines

When Picture Book Wishlist Marketplace (PBWM) is up and running, writers will have an opportunity 

to give a description of their picture book as a list in this order:

·       1 -  8 key words that describe your picture book

·       the theme (capitalized)

          writing style*

·      genre (F or NF)

      word count

·       age group 

and to provide a link to their website, where they will have posted a one-sentence pitch for agents.

PBWM will create a link to an author's website using the book description and website address and post it on the Listing Page, grouped by writing style.

Links to pitches will be posted in the order in which they've been received and will remain online for 120 days.  Agents will shop for the manuscripts they're seeking.  

Any submission not adhering to the Marketplace guidelines will be deleted.

*Writing style categories: HUMOROUS, LYRICAL, QUIRKY, RHYMING, MAGICAL, ADVENTURE, SPOOKY, WHIMSICAL, HEARTFELT, REFLECTIVE, EDUCATIONAL  

Book Description Submission Example:  

children build and walk a labyrinth, nature, REFLECTIVE, F, lyrical, 500 words, ages 6 - 9                

Writers may also cut and paste the nifty shopping cart image on their websites to draw an agent to their pitch.
